Terms of Service

Balesh is a student-internship platform operating in Jordan and Egypt across all fields. By creating an account you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Balesh.

You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to consent under the laws of your country to use the service.

You keep ownership of your profile, CV, and application content. You grant Balesh a licence to host and show that content to employers you apply to, and to operate and improve the service (including the readiness and match features).

Do not misrepresent your experience, impersonate others, or upload content you do not have the right to share. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Applying to an internship spends application tokens from your allowance. Tokens spent on a submitted application are not refunded, including if you later withdraw. Balesh does not guarantee interviews, offers, or outcomes; hiring decisions are the employer's.

Balesh uses automated and AI-assisted tools. For students, the CV engine, readiness score, and match and fit scores are assistive estimates based on the information available. You are responsible for reviewing anything you submit, and a score is not a judgement of your worth or a promise of any outcome.

For employers, Balesh uses AI to help filter, rank, and summarise candidates against a listing (for example, the ranked shortlist and the Balesh Analysis). These outputs are decision-support only: they do not make hiring decisions. A human employer reviews candidates and makes the final call on shortlisting, interviewing, and hiring. AI outputs can contain errors or reflect biases in the underlying data and must not be relied on as the sole basis for any decision about a person.

If you are a candidate and believe an automated result about you is wrong, you can email hello@balesh.app to ask us to review it, and you can correct the underlying information in your profile at any time.

You are responsible for the content you post (your profile, CV, answers, listings, and messages) and for having the right to share it. Balesh is a neutral host: we do not author or independently verify user content, including the accuracy of any CV, qualification, or listing, and we are not responsible for it.

Do not post content that is false or misleading, infringes another person's intellectual-property or privacy rights, is unlawful, discriminatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit, contains malware, or is spam. Employers must post genuine internship opportunities and must not use the platform or candidate data for unlawful discrimination or for any purpose other than evaluating applicants for the role they applied to.

If you believe content on Balesh infringes your rights or breaks these rules, email hello@balesh.app with the details and a link, and we will review it. We may remove content, withhold features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the law.

If you use Balesh as an employer (posting listings or screening candidates) you grant Balesh a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use your company name and logo to identify you as a company that uses Balesh. This includes our website, marketing materials, and our social media channels.

We will follow any brand guidelines you share with us, and we will not suggest you endorse Balesh beyond your actual use of the service. You can withdraw this permission for future use at any time by emailing us, and we will stop using your logo in new materials within a reasonable time.

We may update these Terms or the service over time; material changes will be notified in-app or by email. You can close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or the law.

Balesh is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee interviews, offers, hires, or any particular result, and we are not a party to any relationship between students and employers.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Balesh is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits, or opportunities, arising from your use of the service, from other users' content or conduct, or from any hiring decision. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including any non-waivable rights you have under the law of your country of residence (Jordanian law for users in Jordan; Egyptian law for users in Egypt).

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Talk to us first: before starting any formal proceeding, please email hello@balesh.app and give us 30 days to try to resolve the matter in good faith. Most issues can be settled this way.

Arbitration: any dispute that is not resolved informally will be finally settled by binding arbitration seated in Amman, Jordan, before a single arbitrator, conducted in Arabic or English under the Jordanian Arbitration Law No. 31 of 2001. Judgment on the award may be entered by any competent court.

Individual basis: to the extent permitted by law, disputes will be resolved individually, and not as a class, collective, or representative action.

Where arbitration does not apply or is found unenforceable, the competent courts of Amman, Jordan have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing here removes any non-waivable rights you have under Jordanian consumer-protection or data-protection law, or your right to complain to a competent authority.

If you use Balesh as a consumer in Egypt: nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you have under Egyptian law, including Egypt's Consumer Protection Law and Data Protection Law. Where Egyptian law grants you the right to bring a claim before, or complain to, the courts or authorities of Egypt, these Terms do not take that right away.
